Piensa en encender y apagar, aparecer, y convertirse en algo. Con esas tres ideas cubres casi todos.
Los que de verdad se usan

| turn into | convertirse en | The caterpillar turned into a butterfly. |
| turn back | dar la vuelta, volverse atrás | It was too dark, so we turned back. |
| turn over | dar la vuelta a algo | Turn over the page. |
Los errores que más se repiten
turn down tiene dos significados totalmente distintos: rechazar y bajar el volumen. Ambos caen en examen.
turn out suele ir con to be o con that: It turned out that he was right.
turn on / off se separan si el objeto es un pronombre: Turn it off, nunca turn off it.
