| Puedes dirigirte al lector | No. | Sí, y conviene: Have you ever…?, Think about it. |
| Título | No lleva.
Y qué vas a contar. | 2-3 frases |
| 2-3 frases |
| Para | Frases |
|---|---|
| Abrir | Have you ever wondered why…? · Imagine you had to… · Most of us think that…, but is that really true? |
| Dar tu opinión | In my experience,… · What I have noticed is that… · Personally, I find that… |
| Poner un ejemplo | Take my own case:… · A friend of mine once… · Think of someone who… |
| Contrastar | That said,… · On the other hand,… · It is not that simple, though. |
| Cerrar | So the next time you…, remember that… · It is worth a try, isn’t it? · Whatever you decide, … |
La tarea (B2 First). You see this announcement in an international magazine:
Is it better to study alone or with other people? Write us an article giving your opinion and your reasons. Write your article in 140-190 words.
Respuesta modelo (176 palabras).
Two heads or one?
Have you ever spent three hours in the library with a friend and come home having learned absolutely nothing? I have, more than once, and it made me wonder whether studying together is really the good idea everyone says it is.
There is no question that other people help. Explaining something out loud is the fastest way to find out that you have not understood it, and a study group forces you to turn up even on the days when you would rather not. In my experience, subjects that involve discussion, like history or literature, are far better in company.
That said, some things simply cannot be shared. Memorising vocabulary, working through maths problems or writing an essay all need silence and your own rhythm. Every time I have tried to do those in a group, I have ended up chatting.
So my advice is not to choose. Use other people to check what you know, and use your own desk to actually learn it. The trick is knowing which task belongs where.
Nada de In conclusion.
| Error | Por qué cuesta puntos |
|---|---|
| No poner título.
| Pasarse de informal. | Emojis, gonna, u, exclamaciones a pares. Semiformal no es un mensaje de WhatsApp. |
| No mojarse.
| Organisation | ¿Hay párrafos claros y conectores bien usados? |
