- Marcar un cambio de escena:Meanwhile, on the other side of the city…And then in the other place…Meanwhile — conector de simultaneidad, muy valorado en el writing de B2.
- Introducir una sorpresa:Then the lights go out fast.Suddenly, the lights went out.Suddenly, the lights went out.
- Explicar una causa anterior:She had not eaten all day, so she felt weak.She did not eat all day, so she feels weak.had not eaten / felt — la causa anterior en past perfect.
