Comparativos y superlativos en inglés: cómo se forman según las sílabas, los irregulares y el error de mezclar las dos formas. Con ejercicios.

La regla es corta y las excepciones son pocas. Lo que se falla es mezclar las dos formas en la misma frase.

La clave

Cuenta las sílabas. Una sílaba: -er / -est. Tres o más: more / the most. Las de dos sílabas dependen: si acaban en -y, van con -ier.

Los errores que más se repiten

Mezclar las dos formas. more taller, the most easiest. O una o la otra, nunca las dos.

Olvidar than. El comparativo casi siempre lo pide: bigger than mine.

Olvidar the en el superlativo. He is best playerthe best player.

Usar as … as mal. Para decir que dos cosas son iguales: as tall as, con el adjetivo sin cambiar.
