Ficha 3 · Inversión, phrasal verbs y adjetivos (difícil)
Elige la única frase correcta.
- Apagar la luz:Turn it offTurn off itTurn off it nowIt turn offTurn it off.
- Cuidar de alguien:Can you look them after? Can you look after them? Can you look after they? Can you them look after?look after them. Y detrás de preposición se usa them, no they.
- Describiendo una mesa:an old beautiful Italian wooden tablea wooden Italian old beautiful tablea beautiful old Italian wooden tablean Italian old beautiful wooden tablebeautiful old Italian wooden.
- Doble falta:Not only he lied but he also stoleNot only lied he but also stoleHe not only did lie but also stoleNot only did he lie but he also stoleNot only did he lie. Se invierte solo la primera parte; la segunda, con but also, mantiene el orden normal.
- Casi nunca protesta:Rarely does he complainRarely he complainsRarely complains heHe rarely does complainRarely does he complain.
- Horario de una tienda:I wonder what time does the shop openI wonder what time the shop opensI wonder what time opens the shopI wonder does the shop open what timewhat time the shop opens.
- Una advertencia seria:Under no circumstances you should sign itUnder no circumstances you sign should itUnder no circumstances should you sign itUnder no circumstances signing you itshould you sign it.
- Enviando una carta:She sent to her mother a letterShe sent a letter her motherShe her mother sent a letterShe sent her mother a letterShe sent her mother a letter. Persona primero y sin preposición; la alternativa sería sent a letter to her mother.
- En una novela:Little did I know what was comingLittle I knew what was comingLittle knew I what was comingI little knew what was comingLittle did I know.
- Falta de dinero:Enough money I don’t haveI don’t have enough moneyI don’t have money enoughI have not enough moneyI don’t have enough money.
