La parte 2 del B1 Preliminary es un matching: cinco personas con lo que buscan, y ocho textos cortos. Tienes que dar a cada persona el texto que le encaja. Sobran tres, y están puestos para que te confundas.
El método
| Paso | Qué hacer |
|---|---|
| 1 | Lee primero las cinco personas y subraya en cada una las tres condiciones que pone. Casi siempre son tres. |
| 2 | Un texto solo vale si cumple todas las condiciones. Si cumple dos de tres, es la trampa. |
| 3 | Lee los ocho textos en diagonal buscando esas condiciones, no leyendo entero. |
| 4 | Tacha cada texto que uses. Ninguno se repite. |
| 5 | Los que sobran suelen ser casi correctos. Eso es normal, no significa que te hayas equivocado. |

Ejercicio 1 · Matching
Escribe la letra del sitio que le encaja a cada persona.

- Marta needs somewhere quiet to study for an exam. She wants wifi and coffee, and she can only go after six in the evening. ___A. Cumple las tres condiciones: silencio (strict no-talking rule), wifi y café, y está abierto hasta las once, así que le da tiempo. Ningún otro sitio menciona el silencio.
- Diego is looking for something to do with his two young children that costs nothing. ___G. Entrada gratis y actividades para niños pequeños. H es la trampa: también es para niños, pero cuesta doce euros por niño, y él no quiere pagar nada.

Five weekend courses. A · Clay & Fire: pottery, Saturday mornings, materials included, maximum eight people. B · Street Lens: street photography, Sundays, bring your own camera, a lot of walking. C · Word Room: writing workshop, Saturday afternoons, texts are read aloud. D · Sea Kayak: kayaking, both days, equipment provided, no experience needed but you must be able to swim. Ejercicio 3 · Elige el alojamiento
Five places to stay in the countryside. A · Hill Cottage: whole house for six, open fire, no mobile signal. B · The Old Mill: two rooms, breakfast included, dogs welcome. C · Riverside Rooms: simple cheap rooms, shared bathroom, next to the bus stop. D · Star Barn: cabin for two, very isolated, car needed to get there. E · Green Hostel: bunk beds, shared kitchen, group walks organised. Elige el alojamiento.
- Los Ruiz son seis y quieren cocinar y cenar juntos junto al fuego.ABCDEA. Casa entera para seis con chimenea.

Preguntas frecuentes
¿Se puede repetir una letra en la parte 2?
No. Cada texto se usa como mucho una vez, y sobran tres.
¿Por qué me suenan bien dos opciones?
Porque están diseñadas así. La diferencia siempre está en una de las condiciones que pone la persona, normalmente la tercera, que es la que la gente no lee.
